Costume College Yay!
Returned from CoCo in one piece. It was lovely. Roommate was lovely. Dresses were lovely! hehehe. Seriously though, overall I had a great time. I felt like I really got some good info out of the classes. One in particular felt like someone turned on a lightbulb in my head regarding some men's clothing I have had in mind for my hubby. I have nothing in the stash that will work for the lining. And no time to order more fabric. I went to the local fabric store last night in hopes of finding a substitute, but that was a wash too. Le sigh. Apparently this dress just wasn't meant for this year. :(
I guess maybe I'll pull the PoS out of backup...time is of the essence. -

So, the fabric I was using as my lining for my Gala dress...yep not enough. I must have accidentally counted a piece twice because I am exactly one panel short blue silk. Crap. Time to see what I have in stash in hopes that I can reline it in a different silk. Ugh. Not amused ( Read more... ) -
Bristol 2013
This past weekend my mom and I went to Bristol Renaissance Faire in Kenosha, WI. It was atrociously hot. 90 in the shade is never a good start to a trip and adding in long sleeves and layers never make it any better. Easter, April Fool's and such.
So, this weekend my hubby and I went to my mom's for Easter. It was good, but now my hubby has the flu. Surprise! Not April Fool's! I have to have a root canal.
I have never had any real problems with my teeth, and now I am kinda freaking out. Can anyone who's had one tell me about what they are like? My dentist tried to explain things to me, but after "needle in the nerve" I went to my happy place and stopped paying attention.
