Akron was the closest gay bars to where I was living. Hard to believe, but it was a lot of fun back then.

Kevin and I ended up lining in Hudson in a building called the Old Barn. Daniel owned it, and lived in one of the apartments. There were three other apartments, one was occupied by some old guy who won a Nobel Prize for vulcanizing rubber, or something, and the other was occupied by Daniel's ex-sister-in law, and her two kids.

She reckoned that she was a white light witch, and she had in her possession a bag of rune stones. I asked her how they worked, and she said to think of a question, and then pull out a stone.

So my question was "Am I making the right decision in moving to Australia?" I pulled a completely blank stone out of the bag. Hmmf! That's boring.

So I threw the stone back in, rummaged around a lot more, and pulled out exactly the same stone.

The blank stone is called the Odin stone, if I remember correctly, and it means that it is my destiny. Spooky, or what?

Now if only it told me what I was gonna be when I gorw up!
