so wet so cold
and all that was
faded then vanished

what way is this
to live and die
to exist for a time
only to evaporate

like a puddle
on a hot day
turns to vapor
to be replaced

simulated bright
from electric light
in exchange for
the morning star;
the true shine
lays the days bricks
false fluorescence follows

is extended in plastic brilliance
