The van is fixed and oh so very clean. And it made it through another day in Vancouver without getting broken into again. Yesterday my family and I made it to the Vancouver Art Gallery just about an hour before closing, and discovered that half of the floors were currently closed because they were in the process of changing exhibits. I spent Sunday with Alex and Lisa. We started with a big breakfast at a place called Naam, apparently Vancouver's oldest vegetarian restaurant. I just finished watching "City of Ruins," the new CBC documentary on the Halifax Explosion. Yesterday and the day before I watched the "Shattered City" miniseries on the same topic. I preferred the documentary to the miniseries; the fictionalized bits of the storyline in the latter just came off as trivial, in my opinion ( Read more... )
