A little over a week ago, a friend (who used to do Renaissance Faires, many years ago) asked me if I still get anything out of doing Dickens Fair after all these years. I swear someday I'll manage to have a guest designer do my first show of the season so I can make it to the playa with you. I mean geez, what a stupid time to have the school year start. ;)

Just finished my final idiot check of the costume shop and costume storage in the Auditorium building. If all goes as scheduled, the building will start being gutted on Monday. The problem with spring break is that nobody else is off work, so I feel guilty when I'm not being productive. You would think this would mean that all those non-vital-but-would-sure-be-cool-if-I'd-make-them-happen projects that have been piling up would get done, but really? Nah, it just means I feel like a flake for reading a book instead.

A couple of years ago I gave my dad a copy of Quantum Physics, Chaos Theory, and Cosmology by Miko Namiki, Ichiro Ohba, and Kei-Chi Maeda. When we had dinner together last week he mentioned that he had finally started reading it. Turns out, the part of the book he's on right now closely parallels an article I read recently about how time works.
