Ok, firstly the request. If anyone living close to me has empty jam jars, please save them and send them in my direction. I have far more blackberries than I can manage (about 1.5 kilos each time I go pick them) and don't have enough jars to put jam in ( Read more... )

We certainly had much more luck with the proper seed potatoes, but that might have been as much to do with the fact that they were the ones we bothered to weed and keep somewhat slug-free and forth.

Drive them down personally. Obvoiusly, you'll then have to hang about for a few days to recover and prepare for the journey back. Luckily, my spare room remains free. Problem solved.

Alternatively, you could save them up and give them to me when I see you next. I'll put some jam by for you. Any preferences?

I do not get ahold of very many jars. Any I do come across in the household I will pass along to you. Also, given the chance I would very much like to try some whitecurrants as I never have.

I am btw now back in the country as of yesterday. Feel like starting up Carnivale again, assuming you're feeling a bit better now?

I'd love to start up Carnivale. What days are you usually free?

Whitecurrants are much, much sweeter than the other two and are a beautiful pink colour, despite the name. I'll grab some out of the freezer for you.

Jars will be coming forthwith, probably via almosthonest. I really didn't believe him when he said you were putting pepper in the jam. However, I'm really impressed! And jealous, sweetcorn. The best fresh off the stalk. I'm happy for you. :)
