This "war" is a huge joke perpetrated by a president who stole the election and is using the blood of young men to fuel his reelection campaign. We want terrorists? Where is Bin Laden? Who is looking for hima nd his family? Where are the WMD's? Oh, there aren't any? What a suprise.

Fighting over religion is probably the most offensive thing I can think of. Neither Jesus, nor Buddha, nor Allah would support it. Certainly we should support the troops, how about by bringing them home safely.

This reads like rehashing every drop of anti-government rhetoric i've had to hear for the past few years. Please rephrase in the future ( ... )

They hate US, and we don't even know why. We also don't seem to want to learn, or at the very least, our leaders don't.

All religions worship some silly old piece of literature. Apparently none of them get metaphor.

Religion is a way for ignorant people to explain away things they don't understand. I've got an explanation. Here comes the science, motherf*ckers.

In case you missed it, i don't dig on religion much either, Rob.

True, i phrased that improperly. Should have read something like 'Religion was a way for ignorant people of the past to explain away the things they didn't understand." I guess i'm just sad at it's perpetuation.

And i don't think you're ignorant. I don't even know you; you could be a genius in disguise.

I don't condemn any religion. I enjoy studying them so i can understand not only why people believe in them, but also the faults they tend to ignore.

I disagree with the thread of hope. I guess if some people really need it, fine, but the rest of us should be strong enough to deal with the harsh reality of existence and do something about it, not just sit at home in the bark-o-lounger in front of the tele with a bag of crisps and a soda.

i totally agree with you. i really hate it when they come up with laws, or amendments, as they are trying to do now, that are based on religion. but that is opening up a whole other can of worms.

i would just like to comment, that no where in the bible does it justify war in the name of god. it's really easy to manipulate anything into making it justify your cause, especially with a text that is as big as the bible. i don't hate christians, but i do hate hypocrites, bigots, and judgemental people which most christians fall under.

this sounds very odd rob, i know, but i was recently watching the eyes of tammy faye, and decided that i really like tammy faye a lot even though she is obviously insane to some degree because she is a really awesome christian because she doesn't believe that her beliefs in god give her the right to judge others, and prides herself in being accepting. that right there is the backdrop to christianity, and it's said to see how society through the ages has greatly manipulated a moral text to be so self serving when it comes to hate.

thats all i guess. with all this said, i feel like i should add that i am jewish.

oh, you must have watched that reality show where tammy faye lived with ron jeremy, vanilla ice, and erick estrada. she was like "oh i live with this wonderful man named ron jeremy." it was awesome.

To me, nothing, NOTHING would be worth my child dying for. War, religion, geographic boundaries. There isn't any debate for me. I believe in God, whatever it may be, but war is man-made. However, the world isn't black and white. Would I choose to take out the guy gunning for me? Sure, it's survival instinct ( ... )
