fishing around for comments on a saturday afternoon...

I gain a lot of amusement and fodder from reading livejournals and blogs and such. I'd say that's a good amount of the time I spend online--besides searching for music/watching movie trailers. I always analyze most of the entries I read, sometimes intentionally, sometimes not. I like to be the outside observer, always have. When I was a kid/ ( Read more... )

Well, I've been reading your posts for awhile and never felt compelled to comment until now. But this one stood out for me:

My guilty pleasure, although I feel no guilt towards it, is reading books geared towards fourteen year old girls.

I do too, I got into "The Insiders" series, which is a book series about a group of rich boys in NYC, it's a total guilty pleasure but it's a nice diversion from the books I actually have to read for class.

I had to watch practically every mary kate/ashley film because my cousins were obsessed with them a couple of years ago and any time I'd come over to babysit, they'd want to watch them over and over and over again. I've tried to block it out, but so far it hasn't worked.

I think people who don't cry at least once during the Notebook don't believe in love. :)Word! I haven't seen the movie, but I was an emotional wreck when I was reading the book, it's just such a beautiful love story. I also cry incredibly easily, then again, I'm an *aspiring* actress, so that's a good skill to have ( ... )

Well, I'm glad you decided to comment--I know a lot of people read my journal without commenting and that's cool because I do that with a lot of journals, too.

Gossip Girl is my series of choice--I love how it's outrageous but not so and skanky. Love the skankiness. I read physiology and histology all day--I gotta have a break from that.

You didn't have a choice in your Mary-Kate and Ashley viewing, I did and I stand by my terrible decision. I've even seen most of the mystery, party, sing along series.

You should see the movie. It's not really much like the book at all, since it focuses more on the younger couple, but I could watch that movie like a billion times and it will still effect me. Good luck on your career, are you an aspiring film actress or stage?

i love the gossip girl series too, and the travelling pants one. they make me cry.

you should really read sloppy firsts and second helpings by megan mccafferty. they're my second favorite teen lit series (after the travelling pants). i think they're geared for.. 16 year olds. i love them :)

I'm a stage actress, well at least I've been trained for that, although I'd love to get the chance to do some film/tv work. A friend of mine with *much* better connections is doing a lot of tv right now and she makes it sound so great...so maybe in the future...I hope, but I don't really know, I just want to act...right now I'm just doing community theater and plays up at my college.

I should admit that I've watched "so little time" of my volition, more than once. I don't know what it was about that show, but I really enjoyed it sometimes, it was sort of like eating cotton candy.

I'll definitely see the movie, it's on my Netflix rental queue, I'm just wondering if you have to be in like a really good mood to see it. Is it depressing like the book? Thanks for replying so quickly, I'll definitely be friending you now :)

My god, I know exactly what you mean. I think I come off a bit funnier/wittier online than I am in person. I was out with a big group of friends and no one listened to me if I wanted to talk to more than two people at a time, but others can just command a whole room. Damn them, :P

A few random facts
-I hate "your" and "you're" too!
-I get teary so easily in movies but have enormous trouble letting go and actually crying in front of other people.
-I hate feeling weak.
-I'm obsessed with Green Tea Frappuchinos from Starbucks and Mocca Caramelattes from Gloria Jeans.
-I quote Zoolander.
-Three celebrities I would sleep with are: Orlando Bloom, Chad Michael Murray, Jonathan Bennett (from Mean Girls)(He's just the one I could think of, it's really just OB and CMM).

My friends tell me I'm funny, so does my sister, but I have my moments. I don't mind talking in front of people at all, but I am the type of person that really selects the people I will talk to in general--I may come off as aloof, but I don't have to be selective with LJ.

I really want one of those Green Tea Fraps now that you mention it. Orlando is hot as Will Turner. I just can't get behind the blonde wig in LOTRs.

Here are my random facts
-I'm a teenybopper in heart. I would DIE to see BSB in concert again but I really want to see 98 degrees.
-I also hate when people use your instead of you're.
-I met my ex boyfriend in Disneyland
-I also applied to Northwestern. Didn't get in.
-I made three zines in high school which inspired many people even some teachers.
-My friends from SF and I video taped our own version of The Real World and Road Rules. One Road Rules mission was to meet James from Road Rules in Berkeley. The mission failed. No handsome reward. Haha.
-I got kicked out of a dorm hall in St. Mary's for being a loud guest during quiet hours.
-I don't swim well in the ocean (ironic since I live right by it). Usually, one of my friend's holds my hand when I go under the waves.

I wanted to see BSB again so badly, but alas, I have a test that week and the concert is 3+ hours away and sold out. The guys from 98 degrees scare me, except Jeff, he's hot. Nick looks like a dinosaur, Drew is cute but has a huge forehead, and I don't need to say anything about Justin, the poor sap.

My friends and I did a parody of Saved by the Bell (as Midsummer Night's Dream) for an english class once, and it was the funniest/most embarrassing thing we've ever done for school and trust me, there have been a lot of embarrassing things.

Sheesh, BSB tickets always sell freakin quick. I guess I can always try to find a nice scalper. Who is your fave member?

Yeah, I always thought Jeff was the hottest. I hear he has a solo career too. That's funny you think that Nick looks like dinosuar cause to me he looks like a turtle.

BSB isn't even coming to California yet, I hear--that sucks.

Nick was like my first crush way back in 4th grade (I liked them before they came out in the US because my cousin in Germany recommended their music to me)--as I grew older and wiser, I started liking Kevin. His wife is from a town near Kansas City, so he's been spotted around my parts a few times (not by me yet though, drats). Who am I kidding though, I still like Nick, too, even though he's very trashy.

Yeah, Jeff had a "solo career." He also had a daughter. Nick is really gross, and if it weren't for his fervent support of my favorite team, the USC Trojans, I would really dislike him a lot.

I liked your comment--thanks for writing so much.

What's up with the whale phobia? Or is it orcaphobia?
I guess you don't like Sea World or Free Willy very much, do you.

Good luck on your acting, that's cool that your school as a magnet program in that.

Good times on the president of your class thing, I was social chair for an organization at my school and captain of my tennis team.

I try not to drink soda also, nothing good can come from it.

I think of the people who have commented today, you may be one of the youngest, but I happen to know that some people on my friends list are younger than you at 15-16.

The whale thing started a loong time ago, I was watching some show on whales and they are like extremely vicious! They(orcas) come up onto the LAND to grab seals and then take them back into the water and flip them into the air and such to "play with their food". Its quite disturbing..And i dont like sea world (but only the shamu section) and Free Willy is a prime example of whales being physco ( remember when it gets pissed at the kids for banging on the glass because they liked him and were waving at it-well then willy goes physco and rams into the glass..i dont think i need to go further..hahathats cool there are some people that are younger and the same age i just had this feeling like everyone was much older than me.

He is a pretty amazing man. So sincere, quite and peaceful sort of. And one hot beauty with some of the most beautiful hair I've ever seen and a smile to die fore. That was a year or 2 before he cut it all of his hair off. :)
