Okay, so I just turned 29, and I've got a pretty good job as an accountant for a DC NPO. And then BAM! I find out my dad died and I missed the funeral. So. The Universe maintains the balance of the equation yet again.

Jesus, I'm getting old quick. I miss being like, 22, and carefree. What the hell happened to all my time at college? I'm getting nostalgic, and that's really sad since it means I'm now an antique. Except Sotheby's couldn't pay someone take me home.

So. I finally got a job that seems like it might become a permanent position. If this works out I'll be able to get an apartment soon. :)

I'm going to Otakon tomorrow. This so exciting. gone the whole freakin' weekend. look for further updates. ;)

Today I finish the yardwork that I contracted for. took 3 weeks. got my stuff for next semester ready, so I can't wait to get back to school. I love to learn. too bad hackneyed sayings like 'reading is knowledge' exist. they devalue a proper education, since they tend to imply even what could be applicable can be of no use whatsoever in the real ( Read more... )

Welly, welly, welly. A while it has been, my droogs. I've been jobhunting for the whole summer so far, and nada. I did manage to do some shopping having a need to replace my worn-out wardrobe. Thank fucking somebody or other. its almost time to go home and fix this POS that i need to reformat. I am tired, and frustrated, but i guess it was worth it. i intend to keep in touch with my few friends over the summer. haven't posted in a while but I'm not much of a writer, im better at thinking.

After work (in about an hour) I'm getting FUCKING DRUNK OFF MY ASS. and since I have no friends I get to do it by myself. I hate people and I want humanity to just fucking die. yeah. so I go to work monday morning, feeling under the weather but figure I'll just go to the infirmary, get a couple of days bedrest, and i'll be fine. But no. I got back from the emergency room about an hour ago. I had to stay there overnight. Dehydration to the point of unconsciousness would have been extremely exciting were i awake... ahh well. I mis the emergency room visits in full consciousness. got to get to class though.
