I took the kids to the town Santa Parade this evening. Colton LOVED the parade. Daphne liked most of it, but was not a huge fan of all the sirens and honking. Today we went to Emrie's 3rd birthday party. Reasha always has a Halloween theme for her party and requests that everyone arrives in costume. I just ordered Colton and Daphne 4 pairs of Alva Baby Leggings. They are super cute and I like the fact that they are more like footless tights and less like the BabyLeg concept of stopping at the thigh. This past weekend I went up to Frost Valley and helped clean up Biscuit Creek and the Neversink River. Driving there was interesting. My normal route is completely gone...there's a 52ft wide crevice in the road now. The towns I would drive through on Rt 28 are mostly washed out and condemned. I'm not sure if I mentioned it here or not, but Hurricane Irene hit Frost Valley extremely hard. Frost Valley is my childhood and my adulthood. I've been going there for 25 years and my family has been going for over 35 years. I was so excited to share it with Colton and Daphne this past May and hope to go every year with them.
