It's that time of year again!  I have all but abandoned LJ (other than skimming ONTD), but I'll be damned if I miss iminyourfanclub and my annual hot list.  This year we decided to surprise the other with our choices instead of fighting for claim on certain people, so we're open for overlaps!  A little late, but here we go!  Ladies first...

- Lol, that was totally the first pic I found of Gillian and Alison together in a scene so I picked it, but it really is the perfect pic for them

ok, you need to watch mad men. i mean, i think i hate almost everything about that show, but i think that's what fascinates me about it - i mean, i don't think it can get more mysogynistic/ayn rand-ian, and at some point i've hated every character, but i've watched all three seasons. but christina hendricks (joan) deserves to be on your list, as she pretty much redefines sexy and continues to impress every time she gets a decent storyline. or you could go the january jones route, because she is super super attractive, even if her character is completely scary.

I was actually thinking of trying to rewatch Mad Men this summer because it's one of those shows you have to have at least seen if you're even sort of a TV buff. I'm with you, I pretty much hate what the show is about, but I think the reason I didn't continue watching it was because the first couple of episodes moved really slowly for me and I was just too lazy to wait it out and see if it got better (much like I did with The Wire).

I don't know why I can't get myself on board with Christina Hendricks. I think it's because her character was kind of a bitch on Firefly and Life and I just transferred it to her personality in real life. I did think January Jones was cute, but then I saw her on SNL and it kinda ruined it for me.

oh, christina hendricks is a bitch on mad men too. but, at least by season three, you start to see a different side of her. i think mad men really benefits from being watched on dvd, when you can watch three or four eps in a sitting and really get the scope of the actions. season four is my first time watching it when it actually airs, and i don't know if i am going to like it as much that way. last night's wasn't amazing, but i know enough to wait it out a bit.

See, if she's playing another bitchy character, then the blind rage I'll experience anytime she comes on screen will probably hinder any enjoyment I may get from watching the show. I also don't really like Vincent Kartheiser (I think that's his name) 'cause I didn't like him on Angel. And I don't find Jon Hamm all that hot (he was annoying on 30 Rock, too). When I can't get with the majority of the actors on a show, it's hard for me to watch it. I should try it again this week, though.
