Even though "blogosphere" is the dumbest word man has ever created and I don't want to have anything to do with it, I have to offer up this contribution to the Internet Gods. Tonight I saw Snakes on a Plane and I'm filled with a feeling that people in love have fooled themselves into thinking they know anything about ( Read more... )

In the SA thread for it, there's only one person so far that didn't like it and they were just bitching about it being no more over-the-top than movies like Con-Air and stupid stuff like that so it's probably just someone whose parents didn't hug them enough. Everyone else is raving about it. I'm sure there are people that won't like it because there are enough people with terrible taste that studios keep giving us movies like Step Up and John Tucker Must Die. Too bad for them, though, because Snakes on a Plane was the most fun I can remember having in a theater. I don't want anything to do with people that can't enjoy it because it's just so insanely fun that anyone that doesn't like it is probably from a different planet.

I thought this was kind of funny. Some old people came in the other day and saw a sign for Snakes on a Plane and I shit you not, the old guy said, "That's great! Let's just give the terrorists ideas!"

If there's any movie begging for real-life copycats, it's this one. We should be so lucky to be blessed with terrorists that have enough of a sense of humor to fill a plane with snakes.

I'd have to think a little bit about it, but Snakes on a Plane may very well have been the sweetest movie I've seen this year, and this has been a year filled with a multitude of fucked-up japanese horror movies.

It just seems amazing to me because the Internet was invented to give nerds a place to complain about things and Snakes on a Plane gained its following on the Internet but somehow no one's even complaining about it. The movie is just that awesome.

And Japanese horror movies have their place but '70s Italian horror movies are where it's at. They're just as fucked up but there's less worry about accidently coming down with yellow fever.

Yeah, we had an italian zombie movie marathon during our Zombiemas party in April, and those were definately quite fucked up. If I see another zombie squeezing the brains out of a human head, it'll be too soon.

yeah I think that I got quite a few laughs out of it. Not too bad, much better than I thought that it would be.

Yeah, I was kind of expecting to be let down after how long I'd been looking forward to it but the movie gives you snakes and they're on an airplane and really, what more could you ask for?

Maybe you could ask for Jules from Pulp fiction with snakes on a plane?

I think you just came up with the best idea for a movie that humanity could ever give us.
