I had similar surgery three years ago. I'd never thought anything of the fact that when I lay on my back, my stomach was rounded up like I was pregnant. And yet I read in disbelief about people who had huge tumors removed and wondered, "how did they not know they were carrying that around?" Not the first time my arrogance got me! The stomach was distended enough that when all the bad stuff was out, the scar--same place as yours--ended up crooked. So no bikinis? A small price to pay for dropping a pants size, imo. I'm glad you're on the mend and that you had doctors who were patient with you. It can make all the difference. (I too had chicken pox as an adult. Maybe we're twins with really different hair?) Let's hope 2011 says that the 2010 incident was close enough to the end of the year to count for both. Long distance hugs!

Gone is the weird relux, the shortness of breath, the overwhelming fatigue, the "piles" (which I've had since 1997)... I feel rather silly not noticing how bad things had got. (Can't believe my tiny waist
