I really do hate working in the yard, especially when it's so out of control it takes four people to barely make a dent in it after almost three hours of work. The really sad part . . . it wasn't even my property. I was doing it for an older friend who just cannot do it anymore. Having lived in a small town back east for a number of years, The Memorial Day celebration was a community event. Living in a big city now, it is hardly mentioned. I almost forgot what it was all about.

The last couple months have been crazy. Part of it had to do with work. Most of it had to do with vacation.

A few friends joined me for a trip to Europe. For one of them, it was his first trip overseas. It was a crazy few weeks, and we had a good time, for the most part. I will say this, I won't be taking any more long trips with these people. ( Read more... )

Today didn't really amount to much. I was able to get some things done around the house, but mostly just relaxed and enjoyed an entire day off!

I spent a big part of the day with family. It is the first time in weeks that I have had much time to hang out and enjoy time with them. It was good!

I had most of the day off today. It was kind of nice as I had the chance to get some things done around here at home. Work was still fun tonight though!

You may think I'm joking, but it is true. That is one thing I love about the restaurant. We have a great group working here and can really have a good time! It was a slow night, but even when it is busy, we have a good time! I guess that is why I don't really dread going in to work there.
