The Chesapeake Fried Okra were declared a success! There even were found palatable by The Boy -- a typical near-2-year-old child who doesn't eat veggies.

There are calls to rename them which may be considered, but the suggested new name has given me yet another okra recipe idea. *sigh* And I don't even like okra!

Last night I created the maiden batch of chesapeake fried okra. Was it a success? Well... it's hard to say.

They taste like what I expected, so on that front the creation is successful. If success is based on whether they taste good, I can't really answer. I find that though they taste the way I want them to, I still do not like okra. I will grant ( Read more... )

I was recently gifted some fresh okra "because it had to be done."

So now there will be a brand new okra recipe -- Chesapeake Fried Okra -- also because it had to be done.

BWAAAAAHaHaHaaaaaaaa!!

After coughing all night so i couldn't get to sleep, I got up with my alarm at 5:20 a.m., turned on my cell phone and called in sick. Finally fell asleep for a couple of hours at 6:30ish; woke again at 9:30 and took some Nyquil, then passed out until 4:00 p.m.
