My boss (a manager who not only micromanages, but has anxious phases where she puts very strict procedures into effect) has some new policies.

We won't be able to use the internet "for personal use" at work, and I don't have internet at home, so I won't be on lj for a while.

Who was on time today? That's right. I was early, motherfucker. Course, that's thanks to Brandi and Luke, but still. It's a nice start on the day. Yeah, it's a bit of a ridiculous thing to be excited about, but I take what I can get.

Adderall was not working for me, but it's only because it was so short-acting. The 'rebound' effects of it when it wears off are something fierce. I was also on too big of a dose, so that I was on a roller-coaster of emotion and cognitive ability. After a few days, it accumulated in my system until I just about had an anxiety attack. Okie dokie. Talked to my doctor, and we're going to try the Dexedrine again. I don't think I like the Adderall very much, now that I've been on it for a few more days.

I didn't want to take the sleep aid that my doctor gave me, just because I know that it's addictive, but god damn. Even when I want to go to bed early, I can't sleep. Fuck it. I'll just have to suck it up and take something. It may be that I'll just have to take something for a few weeks or so until I get an actual sleep schedule. I need to start ( Read more... )

Hmm. It's odd. With this new clarity of thought and ability to focus, it's not nearly as hard to see the big picture in everything.

Makes for a reshuffling of priorities. Not necessarily a bad thing.
