Hope everybody who went to K12 had a great time. We had a quiet day. I made a pot of beans and some cornbread for lunch and then a pot roast for dinner, watched a really stupid SciFi (refuse to call it Syfy) movie, essentially Armageddon with Stephen Baldwin in the Bruce Willis part. Horrific ( Read more... )

Jeb's going tomorrow to the practice, but I have to attend an Office Managers' meeting.
Cute pictures of Jonas!

Thanks! Your meeting sounds very un-fun, sorry. Neither of us made it to practice, or anywhere else. Otto is coming down with a cold, and I ended up watching Jonas so Ellen could go apply for jobs.

Oh he is such a cute baby!! Love the pics:)

and yeah, History Channel has really gone over board on this whole end of world programming.
The most puzzling and pointless one is the show where they go through what would happen to buildings and such after people were gone, just wiped out. I find it so pointless and just odd. lol.

Thank you! And yes, I watched a few episodes of that 'Life after People' thing. I found the parts where they showed current places that had been abandoned kind of interesting (though depressing), but seriously, who knows what Las Vegas is going to be like in a million years?

I'm ignoring all the end of the world programming on the grounds that it's depressing, pointless and of no use to me whatsoever. I'm not in a position to cause the end of the world, or to prevent it, or to survive it. So why bother? And I have enough real life issues to be depressed about without looking for nonsense like this.

Jonas is adorable!

Thank you!

And I agree. Only people with no real problems can sit around angsting over killer tidal waves and Mayan prophecy. I believe in taking reasonable precautions - because I live in an area prone to hurricanes, we keep water and batteries during the season, etc., but the way some of these shows go on, we all ought to be building bunkers and stockpiling guns.

There's some hoopla about The World Being About To End (again) in 2012. If they start now, they should be able to sell a lot of merchandise before then.

OMG what a sweet baby.

Thank you, and I'm sure you're right and it's all about money. Most things are.

Senior Nephew is quite offended that the History Channel is showing "all this future stuff instead of the past!"

Senior Nephew clearly understands what the word 'history' means, which is something the producers of the History Channel don't actually get.
