My feet know the stairs,
the escalators,
the elevators
I belong to the skyline
to Times Square at dawn
midnights in subway stations
bus exhaust
I belong to skyscrapers
and to the sirens that wail up and down the blocks -

not going back to school
It's odd not to be going back to school. I'm not packing, I'm not traveling, I am not going to be grabbing fried brunch on saturday with friends to combat our mutual hangovers.
