[Carla bares her teeth at him, stumbling back. She was hardly a trained fighter, just a tenacious one who smiled through her pain. It hadn't taken her much to want to see just how far she could push the pretty boy, and today was a good day for it.]

[Ordinarily, Raymond has no particular reluctance for violence against women compared to his reluctance for violence in general; if it's necessary, it's necessary, though he'd rather not resort to it. Today, though, all bets are off.]

[She turns to the side, maybe to minimize the damage, although that's a lost cause by now. Blonde had hit her in the face for Christmas, and it's been a busy boxing day for her. Maybe it's just the way her body dips as she pivots to swing her knee round into body. She doesn't land back on two feet gracefully after that, stumbling back again with her head spinning, brow split. Someone nearby calls a foul on her. She tells them to fuck off, rubbing blood out of her eyes.]

[He takes the knee hard and staggers with a short cry, but manages not to fall; no, it'll take more than that to knock him off his feet. But it does get him to back off for the moment, keeping his distance as he circles and looks for another chance to strike.]

[Seth staggers back from the last punch. He's not particularly muscular either, so they're well-matched in size, but he wasn't expecting that one. His lip is cut, so he spits some of the blood on the ground and goes in for a punch.]

[He takes the punch, which sends him staggering back as well. That was careless; he can't afford another blow like that. He manages to recover quickly enough, and just as quickly retaliates with another punch of his own.]

[This one lands him in the jaw with an unpleasant crack. Fuck, it's been years since he got into a fight like this, back when he was new to dealing and no one could believe a punk kid like him could hold his own. Well, nothing says they have to fight clean. He runs and tackles the other man to the ground.]

[Ray goes down with a shout, but he's hardly out. He might be a law-abiding timekeeper now, but he was a kid on the streets of Dayton, where there was no such thing as a clean fight, long before he was ever a cop. He knees the other man with a snarl, and tries to throw him off before his hands can be restrained.]
