I took my trip to Portland to see my specialist today and it took a lot out of me. Driving in five o'clock traffic in Portland is a bitch. People are rude and downright stupid. I got really mad at my upstairs neighbors yesterday. They woke me up from my nap that I was taking before work with an hour plus long session of hammering. I've decided to stop body bashing myself because I realize with my meds there isn't a lot I can do to change the side effects that are making me gain weight. I can and will make effort to counter the weight gain and such with healthier choices, but I won't hate or be angry at my body for the way it is. I have found out that my birth control pills increase the effects of the cortisone in my Prednisone, which means that my appetite increases more and that things like water retention and weight gain are worse too ( Read more... )
