Hiromu watched Aiba silently. Since they had left the agency building, the usually talkative and cheerful idol was strangely quiet during their lift back to Aiba’s apartment. It wasn’t as if Aiba was pissed off or ashamed about Nino’s comment, rather he seemed melancholic. In the car they were silent just like when they entered the idol’s apartment.

Hiromu thought that his sleepover at Aiba’s would be funnier though it was the contrary. While Aiba was busy making diner the kid watched some of Arashi’s shows on air; the laughs filling the room were Horimu’s only. Within the past two weeks, Hiro-chan discovered who Arashi was really: silly funny guys that had their best moments in their life when they were together…just like friends.

“Hiro-chan you should take your bath now, diner will be ready soon.” Said Aiba from the kitchen as he tasted the food.

Without a word the kid obliged and went into the bathroom. Now that he was alone, Aiba let out a soft sigh as he put the plate on the table and when everything was ready he took out his cell phone from his back pocket. With a sad smile he looked at the little blue screen and saw there wasn’t any message.

“You’re really busy, huh? Of course you are…Do your best!” He nodded as he put his phone back into his pocket.

“Who are you talking to?” Asked Hiromu from the bathroom’s door.

Aiba had a start and turned around to spot the kid. He put a hand on his chest and sighed from relief.

“Hiro-chan! You scared me! Don’t scare people…I think you’re with Nino a little too much.” Giggled the idol as he took a seat and ordered the kid silently from doing the same.

During the diner, Hiromu stared at Aiba carefully. Aiba was himself again, laughing softly with his strange low voice though it didn’t felt right.

“What’s the matter Aiba-chan?” The straightforward question surprised Aiba who looked at Hiromu with wide eyes, before he smiled sadly.

“Nothing…I think I’m a bit tired that’s all. Don’t worry.”

The kid didn’t ask more, if Aiba didn’t want to tell him then it was a private matter and Hiromu hadn’t the right to bother him. They finished their diner without other words. Then they went into the living room and watched some videos. Despite his protests Aiba had to watch the recording of ’24 hours television’ from 2004, with Hiromu on his lap and a fluffy blanket covering them.

“We shouldn’t watch this moment it’s not interesting…” Said one embarrassed Aiba as he tried to pick the remote control from the kid’s hands.

“I want to watch!” Argued Hiromu, throwing the device on the opposite couch.

Aiba sighed and hid his face in his hands as the younger he was reading his letter on television. Quickly tears were forming in Hiromu’s eyes as Aiba was reading his letter and somewhat, seeing MatsuJun crying was really shocking. In a few minutes, the kid learned a lot of things: Aiba’s surgery, his feeling towards the other members and the promise they made to themselves. Hiro-chan turned around and looked at Aiba with watery eyes.

“I’m sure you weren’t a burden for them back then!” he shouted as he couldn’t control the tone of his voice.

Then as Sho hugged him on TV, Hiromu hugged Aiba with all his might.

“Thank you…” Aiba smiled softly as he hugged the kid back and let one single tear slide on his cheek.

“I’m glad I’ve met you…”

“You’re really with Nino too much…You talk like him.” Laughed the grown man as he stood up from the couch with Hiro-chan in his arms.

Holding the kid, Aiba went into his bedroom and put the kid on his bed before joining him. Hiromu rested his head on Aiba’s chest and kept thinking about the surgery. After a long silent moment, Hiromu asked with a sleepy voice.

“I think your dream came true...”

“Hum?” Hummed Aiba softly almost asleep but still stroking Hiromu’s head.

“Arashi is the number…one…” Then a yawn and both of them felt asleep.

*~*~*~

The sun warmed his body slowly as Aiba cracked an eye open. The idol stretched his arms and yawned loudly before he felt a weight on his chest. He blinked a few times, looked at the sleeping form and patted the little head softly with a genuine smile. Carefully he slid from the bed and tried to not wake up Hiromu, then he tucked him in and with an approving nod Aiba headed for the kitchen.

The tall idol hummed happily while making breakfast and checking in his mind his schedule for the day. The happy tone coming from his throat stopped when he remembered that he couldn’t see one of his members today again. Aiba sighed heavily head bowed before a voice behind him gave him a start.

“Who are you?” Hiromu was at the bedroom’s door and stared at Aiba with a mistrustful look.

“Eh? Hiro-chan that’s not funny!” Giggle Aiba nervously. “Once again you scare me!”

“Answer. Who are you?” Asked once again Hiromu, stepping back when Aiba walked towards him.

“Hiro-chan? Are you still asleep? It’s me! Aiba!”

“Hum? I don’t think so.” Hummed the kid, coming closer to Aiba.

He turned around Aiba, looking at him closely. After a few minutes the kid stopped and faces the man, his hands behind his back.

“You do look like him…” He nodded more to himself.

Aiba bend forward and put his hand on Hiromu’s forehead, checking if the kid had a fever.

“You’re really strange today. Are you okay? Are you hurt?” Asked one worried Aiba.

A smirk crossed Hiromu’s face and without warning the kid jumped on Aiba, making the both of them fall on the wooden floor and attacked Aiba.

“Hi…Hiro-c…han! That…that…ti…tickles!” Laughed Aiba being doubled up with laughter.

“AAAAHHHH!!” Screamed the tall idol, tears appaering in his eyes as his breath became short.

After a while, Hiromu stood up with arms akimbo as he tried to catch his breath.

“That…is the Aiba-chan I know.” He smiled softly.

Aiba blinked a few time and went silent as he stared at Hiromu and his smile. Then the idol smiled as well and grabbed the kid making him fall on top of him.

“Thank you…” He whispered while hugging Hiro-chan strongly.

The latter nodded and patted Aiba’s back friendly.

*~*~*~

It was Ohno’s turn to take care of Hiromu. Of course a free afternoon meant fishing for Ohno. Though the weather wasn’t nice for fishing today, so instead he asked Hiromu to come with him at the park near his apartment. With all his art supplies, Ohno found a great spot under the biggest tree in the park. Kids were running everywhere, laughing and shouting happily while Hiromu stood motionless. It’s not that he was scared, but right now the leader was so focused on him that he didn’t dare to move or even blink.

“You can breathe you know?” Said Ohno softly as he was drawing Hiromu’s face.

The kid blushed to the root of his hair and coughed to hide his shame.

“I still don’t understand why you want me as a model…” Spoke the kid in a whisper.

“You’re interesting. You have a cute face and a great profile” Explained the leader without looking up from his drawing.

“I’m not cute.”

“With those bruises on your face, no you’re not.” Agreed the idol. “But don’t worry you won’t see them on the picture.”

Hiromu felt silent once again. He couldn’t describe why he was so calm with Ohno near him. The idol was most of the time straightforward and some of his words could hurt you but somehow…it didn’t bother Hiromu, in fact he was glad that the man was honest with him.

Suddenly Ohno put his pen down and grabbed his bag.

“Let’s eat something, you’re hungry!”

“No I’m not.” Lied the kid. Indeed he was hungry but Ohno was so focused on his drawing that he didn’t want to disturb him.

A noisy sound came from Hiromu’s stomach and made him blush. Ohno laughed genuinely and gestured Hiromu to come closer. There was a lot of food, kindly prepared by Ohno’s mother and just like Ohno had announced it was really delicious.

“Oh-chan…” Started the kid.

“Nino told me that you wanted to quit before your debut…is it true?”

Ohno nodded and smiled.

“Why?” The kid asked between two bites of his onigiri.

“I wanted to be a host.” Replied Ohno seriously.

The kid chocked on his food and laughed loudly at Ohno’s comment.

“I’m serious you know!” Pouted Ohno as he patted Hiromu’s back, the latter having difficulty to breathe.

“I thought you wanted to be a baker.”

“Well yeah…that too…”

“Maybe you could be a host and a baker? You’ll make bread while keeping your customer company.” Smirked Hiromu

“Oh? You think it could work too?!” Asked Ohno happily. It was the first time that someone had the same idea.

“…I can’t believe you thought that…” Chuckled the kid, resting his head on Ohno’s lap.

Ohno smiled fondly as he patted Hiromu’s head. The kid noticed that most of the members liked to pat his head, he didn’t know why but it’s not like it bothered him.

“I wasn’t the only one who wanted to quit you know?”

Hiromu turned his face to look at the leader and giving him a curious look.

“Nino and Sho-chan.” Ohno knew the kid wanted to know more about it, but it was Nino and Sho’s task.

“Oh-chan? Can I ask you something?”

“Of course.”

“Promise me you won’t be mad.”

“Okay.”

“Why are you the leader?”

Ohno chuckled softly “It was decided naturaly.”

“I see…It’s because you’re the older…” Said Hiromu, thinking it was logical.

“I won at janken pon.”

With that answer, Hiromu remembered that logic and Arashi couldn’t coexist.
