Title: More Richer than my Tongue - Part 8/8
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Jack/Ianto
Notes, credits: This section somehow took two months to write; my life went a little nuts a couple months ago. But it’s done! I want to express my appreciation to my awesome betas, invisible_lift and blackbird_song for letting me do even more agonizing and navel-gazing than usual, and a special ( Read more... )

This series is just remarkable...so very in character and perfectly lovely even when it's so unrelentingly real and harsh. Well done :)

Real and harsh and lovely are not mutually exclusive, in my book. It's a wide and amazing world, all the parts of it. I'm glad this struck the right notes for you. Thanks for letting me know.

That was an absolutely perfect end, and trust me, I've enjoyed the whole ride. But this chapter had so many bits that were just a perfect fit. And your voices for Jack and Ianto, whether they be thoughts or spoken words, were dead on. Loved the bit about Ianto loving timeless things, and how his innocuous comments are exactly the opposite to Jack.

Dramatic irony is a device that never ceases to work, eh? Thanks for the compliments, I appreciate them. I stressed over the ending -- I'm still afraid I crossed the line into schmoopy -- so I'm glad it worked well for you. Thanks for sticking with me!

No, it was really the perfect balance and didn't wrap everything up in a neat box, but gave enough closure. I really really loved it :)

Man! That was a great, sweet story. I wish I had something more... interesting or constructive to say about it, but I just really enjoyed it. The reason I like Jack and Ianto anyway is that they seem like people I would want to know, and they really seemed like that to me in this story as well. So, yay!

Thanks, I'm glad that I kept the characters interesting for you. And I agree -- these are people I'd like to know. Gwen, she'd just stress me out to have as a friend, she seems like the manufactured drama sort, and Tosh would always need so much emotional maintenance. Jack and Ianto, you could just sort of hang with them, and then after a few years, you'd find that you'd kind of gotten to know them even without ever having had a whole "this was my childhood" kind of sit-down conversation. That's how I see them, anyway.

I was so thrilled to see this posted but sad to see it end. This was such an emotional story. And the last chapter here was no disappointment. It was gorgeous - the sex hot and just a tinge angsty and the end...hopeful. I've saved it to my favs too :)

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Hot and angsty, it's a well-trodden path in slash, but it's a classic.

Beautiful. I love the image you ended it with, Jack stroking Ianto's hair. What a fantastic story.
