Today David had his one month check at the pediatrician and I had to take Anderson with us since Kurt's working, of course. It started out just fine. Big breakthrough on the big brother front today! I bought David a 'gym' (basically this mat that they lay on with toys hanging down to look at and eventually kick and swat at, among other things). Well, actually my mom bought it via a very generous Amazon gift certificate she sent for me to choose things we needed for him

So, Tired has finally come to town. We were doing pretty well with the nights but lately between the two of them, I'm getting like 2-3 hours of sporadic sleep a night, a recipe for weird behavior and utter exhaustion. David has become increasingly grumpy, switching to "high-need baby" mode. Thankfully it's not colic or anything, but it's enough.

Had an ultrasound today and apart from a revealing shot of little David's scrotum, it was nothing out of the ordinary. He's allegedly 8 lb. 2 oz. (these weight measurements in utero are often just really wrong), but then Anderson was 8 lb. 5 oz. when he was born a few days late. I was due yesterday
