This weekend I went to my Aunt Lorraine's cottage and spent time with my aunt and uncle as well as my cousin Donna and her husband Chris. It was great to see them again and a wonderful time was had by all.

Today my dad and I biked from our house in Orleans along the Ottawa River and the Rockcliffe Parkway to the Parliament Buildings. We stopped to take pictures at 24 Sussex drive and at the National Art Gallery overlooking Parliament Hill. Now they are being gentle about it, and redirecting the numbers if you dial the 7-digit extension, but I asked my parents and Ottawa is going the way of Toronto with 10-digit dialing. Boo!

I wonder what other area code Ottawa will be given other than 613..

Today I officially convocated and received my degree from the University of Waterloo. The day began in the Novotel in Toronto. My aunt flew in for the occasion and the 5 of us (my mom, dad, sister Rachel, aunt and I) piled into the car and drove to Waterloo.
