I blinked and squinted against the onslaught of light filtering through the opened blinds, and tried pulling the blanket over my head to make the world dark again. I heard Yunho chuckled, his laughter a tinkling bell that I decided is pleasant to hear every day for the rest of my life. Peeping over the blanket with still sleepy eyes, I saw Yunho walked towards the bed with an amused expression plastered on his face. His body casted a shadow over me, and I saw him grinning toothily - his handsome face brightening with just that one sweet smile.

“Good morning, baby…”, he greeted, kneeling beside the bed. I smiled sheepishly in reply as he pulled the blanket off me, one hand reaching out to ruffle my hair.

“Still early…”, I whined, pouting childishly just for show. Yunho laughed, flicking my nose with the tip of his index finger.

“It’s 7.30 already. Do you want to spend our first weekend together just lying in bed?”

“Why not?”

Yunho just chuckled, trailing his finger along the bridge of my nose, tracing my eyebrows gently before going down my cheek and stopping at my lips. He stared there for a second, before looking up and smiling at me, eyes unfathomable.

“What were you thinking?”, I asked, curious. Yunho just grinned wider, before answering,

“I’m thinking…I am so very lucky to have this beautiful, beautiful man as my boyfriend…who would have guess it huh?”, he paused and looked down, his smiled faltering slightly, “…to tell you the truth, I never imagine I’d have someone like you loving me like this. I feel so happy it makes me ache inside. It feels...surreal.”

“Yunhoya…”, I gasped, my heart clenching at his admission. I held his hand, kissing the knuckles once before putting his palm on my cheek, the gentle caress of the rough skin of his palm a soothing assurance of his love for me. He had been through so much in his life, some of it I could not even imagine happening to the sweet-natured man I had in front of me, and he had endured it all with bravery and strength not everyone possesses. There are so much to be admired in Yunho, and I planned to spend forever finding them out.

“We’re both lucky.”, I said, smiling at him while stroking the hand that was cupping my cheek lightly, “…and baby, I’m real. We’re real. No matter what happened in the past and will happen in the future, you’ll always have me loving you, Yunhoya. I can promise you that. I want no one else but you on my bed and in my life. It’s a life-long commitment from now on.”

I have been thinking about this since before we started going steady. I was worried that I would scare Yunho off if I told him about it, but it surprised me how the truth came out easier than I thought it would be. Yunho sighed contentedly, his fingers fiddling with my hair as he beamed at me, and I knew instantly I have made the right choice by telling him this.

“Thank you, Jaejoong-ah…thank you so much…”, he whispered, before grinning cheekily, “…and now that we’ve both done being sappy, it’s time for you to wake up and take a shower, smelly.”

I pouted in reflex, but he just ignored me and stood up, holding out one hand to pull me to my feet. Something fleeted across my mind as I reached for his hand, and grinning mischievously, I pulled him down on top of me in one expert twist of wrist before turning our bodies around. Yunho yelped unmanly as I straddled him, his shocked face too comical that I just had to laugh out loud.

“Gotcha!”

“Jaejoong!”

I nuzzled his neck, muffling my laughter on his warm skin and nipping kisses along his jaw and collarbone. I held his wrists tightly against my back, pinning him under my mercy. Yunho squirmed underneath me, his giggles uncontrollable.

“S-stop, stop!”

“Don’t- umm- want.”

“That t-tickles! Stop!”

“Na-uh.”

“Stop! Jinjoo’s coming over!!”, he shouted in desperation, chuckling madly as I bit him all over. Still grinning like a mad man, I looked down at him, and his laughing eyes softened into something akin to a loving gaze.

“You love me this much, do you?”, he asked, his voice full of teasing wit although there was nothing but gentleness in his eyes. I did not answer him, because I figured the look I gave him would have told him that and so much more. Yunho drew my face closer, one hand on my nape and the other gently caressing my back, as my jaw slackened and I surrendered to the saccharine sweetness of his kiss. The mole starring above his lips enticed me greatly, so I dabbed a lick at it, relishing in the knowledge that this handsome man under me was mine and mine alone. Yunho moaned hoarsely, before deepening the kiss and twirling his tongue with mine. It was a rough yet heartfelt kiss, full of emotions that we can’t expressed in any other way.

Fuck that feel more than good. I had a sudden urge of gloating about it to everyone I know. Heh.

When he let go of my lips, we were thoroughly swollen, red lips displaying our ardor in blatant evidence of passion. I chuckled first and he followed, as he pushed himself up and scooping me into his arms, holding my naked body closely to his own clothed one. I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist, not wanting to part with him yet.

“You’ve showered?”

“Just washed my face and brushed my teeth.”

“Shower with me then?”, I asked, more like an invitation than a question. He smiled and kissed my cheek once, before standing up and walking both of us towards the bathroom.

“Oof, you’re heavy. Need to lay you off those puddings.”

“Yunhoya!”

Jinjoo came with Junsu at around 10, much later after Yunho and I had both done being cheesy (horny) saps with each other. Yunho was beyond nervous, walking all around the living room and messing with my ornaments with his restless fingers. I had laughed at his anxiousness, but after a while it really got to my nerve and I ordered him to sit at the couch and shoved a mug of warm tea in his hands to calm him down. Obeying me like the good boy he was, he stayed there quietly until the front door buzzer sounded, which nearly made him fell off the couch in surprise.

We were standing at the front door just about to welcome my son, but I could clearly felt how tensed he was behind me and that made me turn around, smiling assuredly at Yunho. I can somehow understand how he was feeling right now - after all this was the first time he’s meeting the other important man in my life and just that fact alone was enough to make anyone feel nervous.

“Relax, Yunhoya…” I pecked him once at the lips and he took a deep breath, his tensed expression softening a little bit. Gesturing at the door, I silently asked him whether he was ready or not. He nodded slightly, lips tight in a show of confidence.

Jinjoo greeted me cheerfully, jumping into my arms the moment I opened the door for him and Junsu. Junsu laughed, greeting us with a simple ‘Annyong’. Jinjoo was busy burying his face at the crook of my neck, and probably has not noticed Yunho standing like a statue behind me yet.

“Where’s Yoochunnie?”, I asked when I saw that my best friend cum my ex-husband was nowhere in sight.

“He had to go to the publisher to drop off his manuscript, but he’ll come over as soon as he’s done. You know that new book he’s working on for so long? He finished it last week and he told me the company’s going to publish it soon.”, Junsu announced proudly, his face lighting up with genuine joy.

“That’s good to hear.”, I replied with a smile, truly happy for them. Junsu handed me a large plastic container full of kimchi, explaining that they were made by his mother and he got tones of them in their fridge at home when I remarked on the generous quantity. I laughed as Junsu nodded towards Yunho, and in my haste I’ve just realized I forgot to introduce him to Yunho. Aish Jaejoong where’s your manners?

“Ah, Junsuya, sorry. Junsu, this is Jung Yunho, my boyfriend. Yunho, this is Kim Junsu, Yoochun’s husband and Jinjoo’s papa.”

They greeted each other formally, before deciding in that short moments to forgo the customary honorifics and calling each other with their first name. Junsu was slightly younger than Yoochun and I, if I was not mistaken he’s going to be 30 this year, although that means he’s still a hyung to Yunho. But my worry over introducing them ceased when I saw how they clicked on instantly, and I knew then the four of us will be good buddies after this.

“Your boyfriend?”, Jinjoo asked me softly, looking up at me from where he was peeking at Yunho from my shoulder. I nodded, smiling as I put him down and pushed him towards Yunho.

“Jinjoo, be a good boy and greet Daddy’s boyfriend properly.”, I said, nudging him forward with a pat on his back. Jinjoo took a hesitant step towards Yunho, looking up at the tall man with a slightly terrified expression, which was similar to the one on Yunho’s face. I had to bite the inside of my mouth from bursting out in laughter at the two. Junsu just smiled from beside me, looking with shared pride as our son greeted Yunho with a courteous bow.

“Hello, my name is Park-Kim Jinjoo. Nice to meet you, Yunho-ajusshi.”, he said eloquently, voice small and a bit unsure. Yunho came nearer and knelt in front of Jinjoo, saying his own greeting with a kind smile.

“Hi, Jinjoo-goon. Nice to meet you too.”

“Mm…”, Jinjoo was shifting his weight from one leg to another, seemingly anxious. Yunho threw an amused smile my way, before he continued to ask, peering up cutely at Jinjoo’s face,

“Shall we shake hands then, Jinjoo?”

Before long, Jinjoo was smiling widely, taking Yunho’s big hand in his two smaller ones and shaking it wholeheartedly, his joy obvious to all. I heaved out a relieved sigh, and Junsu patted my shoulder, offering understanding.

“What’s your job, Yunho-ajusshi?”, Jinjoo asked suddenly, when we were all seated at the couch. I was about to go to the kitchen to fetch all of us some refreshments, but his question made me stop mid-step. Yunho beamed at me, before answering without any wavering,

“I’m a student-teacher, Jinjoo. I’ll be graduating in a few months and then become a teacher like your Dad.”

Jinjoo looked at Yunho confusedly, his brows knitting together, “How old are you then?”

“I’m 23.”

Jinjoo looked a bit scandalized, realizing that Yunho was not as old as he thought he was,

“You’re younger than Dad!”

“Yes, I am.”, Yunho answered amusedly, slinking one arm across Jinjoo’s shoulder. Jinjoo sighed exaggeratedly, before poking Yunho with one naughty, brave finger,

“Then I can call you hyung, right? Since you’re not that old and stuffs? Thank God…everyone around me is ajusshi nowadays.”

“Jinjoo!”, I reprimanded him, but Yunho just shook his head in my way as he ruffled Jinjoo’s hair.

“Yea, you can call me hyung. Calling me ‘ajusshi’ makes me feel old…”, he leaned closer to whisper into Jinjoo’s ear, “…like your Dad.”

Jinjoo laughed, and I just had to roll my eyes because I knew Yunho purposely whispered that last bit so I could hear them. Gah what have I done? Now they were tag-teaming against me, and I’m now a lone fighter against the two young(mon)sters.

“Don’t worry, Jaejoong-ah. When Yoochunnie comes, we’ll show them what men in their 30’s are made of.”, Junsu added jokingly, standing up to help me in the kitchen. We both chuckled as Yunho and Jinjoo groaned from the couch, whining about how unfair the ‘ajusshi’ are.

*

Lunch was fried kimchi rice with beef soup, cooked by Yoochun and I. We ate in a busy chatter across the table, Jinjoo being the center of everyone’s affection as he let himself be treated like a kid that he is, all cheeky and adorable now that he had found himself a new ‘hyung’. Once during the lunch I felt Yunho’s hand squeezing mine, and when I looked at him in question, he smiled contentedly, a wide grin telling me that he was thankful and proud to be among us all.

Junsu chose to join Jinjoo and Yunho in the living room after lunch, and they managed to manhandle the PS3 consoles between the three of them, shouting and laughing loudly as their pixelated characters fought and killed each other. Yunho and Junsu switched console a few times, taking turn playing against Jinjoo, but Jinjoo refused to budge, conquering his favorite right console like a fierce kitten.

I smiled as I looked over the counter at the three of them, happy that Yunho managed to warm his way into my family’s hearts. Not that I ever doubted him, but to be honest I was worried about how Jinjoo would handle another adult in his life. Perhaps because of Yunho’s age, Jinjoo did not feel as guarded and as conscious as he would have been with someone older. Yunho can be a kid himself at times, honest and generous with whatever he does. There’s still innocence left from his tarnished childhood, and although he was battered by his past, he had come to hold no grudges for the things that happened. To say I was proud of him would be an understatement.

“I suggest you wipe that obscene grin off your face, it’s not safe for general public.”, Yoochun teased from my side, almost making me yelp in shock. I made a disgruntled face at him, shoving the plates that I was drying to his chest, but the happy grin was too much to hold in.

“You’re just jealous.”, I gestured to Yunho with my pout, and Yoochun lifted an eyebrow in challenge as he stored the plates in the cabinet behind him.

“Ah really now? You think just because you get the young one it means I’ll lose to you?”

“I didn’t exactly say that…”, I drawled on, gloating, “…although it’s undeniable who’s the winner here, right?”

“Pfft. Su might be 30, Joongie, but he’s like a newly made car…always ready for a ride.”, Yoochun answered unabashedly, not caring to filter his words for my sake. I flinched openly, and he laughed, finding enjoyment at my expense.

“You’re terrible. Wait till I tell Su about this.”

“Ratting on me? That’s low, buddy.”

“Admit that Yunho is hot and I’ll let you off the hook.”

“You mean that guy over there? That handsome, young six feet of handsomeness?”

Yoochun threw a smug glance at the three in the living room, face contorting in a show of displeasure as I nodded, gloating on purpose.

“Well, he’s okay.”, Yoochun shrugged in mock nonchalant, but the sneaky smile on his lips betrayed him. I chuckled as I drew him closer in a one-arm hug.

“You bitter loser.”

“Hey I told you Su is like a new car-“

“-always ready for a ride.”, I continued for him, and we laughed out loud, two best friends with nothing but genuine care for each other. So much had happened between us since we knew each other, and it was like we have gone through a whole circle - from being friends to lovers to husbands and to being friends again. Our friendship has deepened with understanding and trust, and while I could never love Yoochun as my husband, I knew I could always love him as my best friend - to be truthful, he was like my own brother.

“It’s so nice to see you this happy. It’s been a while since I saw that pretty smile on your face.”, Yoochun said quietly, grinning at me as we continued to wipe the wet plates and utensils.

“It’s been a while since I feel this happy, too.”, I confessed, eyes looking far at the chaotic scene in the living room. Yoochun hummed his acknowledgment, reaching over to collect the dried wares.

“Yunho is good for you, I can tell. You’re serious about him, aren’t you?”

“As serious as I can get.”

“That’s good. So I guess you’ve settled things with the school?”

“I’m going back to uni again.”

“Ah really? What did Yunho say about this?”

“I made the decision before I told Yunho about it. He was shocked, but he understood that it’s necessary. We can’t be together and work at the same place Chun, there’s too much complication that I don’t want to put him through.”

Yoochun regarded me with a serious look, his gaze soft in understanding as he patted my back,

“Just don’t regret it, that’s all.”

“I won’t. When I said I was serious about me and Yunho, I mean it Chun. And you know I’ve been wanting to get a doctorate for some times now, what better time to pursue that dream than now? It’d be a good sacrifice for getting someone as precious as Yunho. I really, really love him Yoochun-ah…I really do.”

Yoochun suddenly chortled, eyes crinkling in mirth,

“Did you hear yourself, buddy?”

“What?”

“You sounded exactly like a lovesick teenager. Trying to make me puke or something?”

I blushed hotly in realization and pinched his side hard, just because.

*

We went out for a drive in Junsu’s SUV and decided to stop by at a park near Han River for a simple picnic. Jinjoo played around with some kids and their dog, and by the time he was finished, he was whining about getting his own dog to all four of us.

“Daddy, I want a dog~”, he pouted, tugging my shirt sleeve and acting all cute just to coax the ‘yes’ out of me. I told him to ask Yoochun and Junsu, since he’s staying at their house more often than he stays at mine, successfully shifting the responsibility to the couple. Yoochun adamantly said ‘no’ while Junsu just shrugged and said that Yoochun’s the boss, which made Jinjoo rolled around in frustration and declaring how ‘uncool’ his fathers were.

“Yunho-hyung~”, Jinjoo turned to Yunho next, eyes widened adorably as he snuggled closer to Yunho’s side. Yunho chuckled as I rolled my eyes, knowing well what Jinjoo had planned in his sneaky, little mind.

“Tell Daddy to get me a dog, pretty please?”

“What kind of dog, Jinjoo?”, Yunho asked, entertaining my ten year old son. Jinjoo grinned happily, obviously thinking that he has picked the right victim this time. I gave Yunho a warning look, but Yunho just winked at me, and I knew he knew what Jinjoo was playing at.

“Hmm…like the one I played with just now?”

“And what kind of dog is that?”

“Err…don’t know…Dad, what kind of dog was the one I played with just now?”, Jinjoo turned to me, asking eagerly. I pretended to think about it, before I looked at Yoochun and Junsu asking them the same question. Of course we all knew what breed it was (it was a malamute), we just want to tease Jinjoo a bit.

“If you want to have a dog, you need to know which one exactly you want, because you would have to take care of it later. You will need to bathe and feed the dog, and take it to the vet for shots and all. Different breed of dogs have different needs, and if you don’t know what kind of dog you want, it’d be a trouble later on.”, Yunho said confidently, and Jinjoo’s face fell, pouting as he lost the argument, his body slacked against Yunho’s side as he quietly wallowed in his dissatisfaction. I snorted while Yoochun and Junsu snickered in amusement, silently congratulating Yunho on his genius method.

Yunho peered down at Jinjoo, ruffling his hair and trying to coax a smile out of the sullen kid,

“But hey, I’ll talk with your Daddy about getting you a dog okay? Maybe if you show them how much you’re willing to care for the dog, then your Daddy, Appa and Papa might let you get one of your own.”

Jinjoo brightened up instantly, before turning to look at his three fathers with a determined look on his face.

“If I let you see how much I want a dog and that I’ll be responsible for it, will you let me have one?”, he asked towards the three of us. Yoochun crumbled first, and Junsu and I followed next, nodding as Jinjoo’s smile widened. Yunho chuckled at how vulnerable we were, and for a moment there I had a fleeting suspicion that he had planned this earlier with Jinjoo.

Who knows?

*

Jinjoo fell asleep not long after dinner, probably spent from running around and playing at the park this afternoon. For the first time since he was born, he was tucked in by four adults, each taking turn trying to kiss his cheek which almost made him kick us out in annoyance. Yoochun and Junsu excused themselves after we talked a bit and shared some cold beers, but the night was still young when Yunho and I retreated to our bedroom, our bodies very much tired yet our hearts stubbornly holding out to prolong the happy day.

Yunho hugged me from behind, his chin digging into my shoulder as he whispered softly,

“Thank you, Jaejoong-ah. I had a blast today.”

I turned around in his arms, smiling as I gave him a swift peck.

“Me too. I’m glad you had fun, baby.”

“Jinjoo’s amazing. And Yoochun and Junsu are really nice people...so much fun to be around.”

“Maybe next time we should invite Changmin over.”

“Ah I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

“I have a feeling Jinjoo and him will be good friends though.”

“They’ll be good friends, alright, and then they will turn against us and we’ll all be over. Finished. Done. Zapped before we can even fight.”, Yunho grunted, letting me go so that we could continue stripping out of our clothes. I chuckled when his feet got tangled in his pants’ leg, before finally telling him to stay still so I could get the garment off his legs.

“Aish baby, you’re worse than Jinjoo...”, I chided jokingly and Yunho pouted, childish for a second.

“I just want you to strip me naked.”, he added next, wriggling his eyebrows like a greasy old man. I shoved him off, laughing as I turned my back to him, taking off my shirt and jeans before realizing he was quietly observing me from the bed. I threw a glance at him over my shoulder, and saw his eyes squinting as he scrutinized my near-naked body.

“Go on. You’re getting to the best part.”, he urged, a mischievous leer curling on his lips. I snorted, throwing my discarded shirt his way because he made me blush all over. He snickered as he easily caught the balled up garment, before tossing it accurately into the laundry basket.

“Yes!”

“Show-off.”

“Got to admit that I’m good though.”

“You’re just lucky.”

“Because I have you.”, he quipped without any hesitation, and my smart retort died before I could spit it out. I turned around and looked at him, and saw that he was smiling sweetly at me - just him in his black boxer, beautiful and handsome and kind and mine. I could almost felt my cock springing to life in that short seconds that I took to walk towards the bed, heavy with my desire for him and eager to satiate his needs.

Needless to say, we never got around to sleeping much that night, as we took our time getting ‘re-acquainted’ with each other’s body, over and over again. This was our destiny, here with one another, and it began with a chance meeting designed by fate for two imperfect people made whole by a love that surpasses mere attraction. It was like having a deeper conversation with my own soul -

- and finally realizing the love I have been searching for has come in the form of one particular Jung Yunho.
