I decided to edit my first NaNo chapter today. For whatever reason I wrote it almost entirely in first person. What the hell self, what the hell?

I've been struggling with NaNo today. Usually once I start writing the words end up flowing to a certain extent. It's usually utter crap but at least I can get the main ideas down. I got an e-mail from HR today telling me how much I'll be making. It's a lot less then what I would make starting in a hospital in Portland, but about the same for starting in a nursing home here in Oregon. Overall it's a nice wage and way more than what I would start out with in pretty much any other industry so I'm pleased with it. The cost of ( Read more... )

 I just accepted a job for a pediatric floor in North Dakota! The fact that I'm moving to North Dakota is kind of a bummer but OMG peds! if I stay in Oregon I will be lucky to get a nursing home job. I decided I was bored with my old theme yesterday and tried to pick a new one. I finally found one that I liked well enough but it wouldn't let me have friend colors the way I wanted. Spent the first half of Monday puking my guts out. I puked four times in about four hours. The fourth time was pretty much just stomach acid and dry heaves. It was pretty awful. I've made it to the second stage of the Legacy application process! I have a short interview next week. It's in Tualitin though, and I'm not looking forward to that. But it's not too far away and I really want this job. Wish me luck, please!

Also, in an unrelated note, my dishwasher sounds like the Tardis materializing. It amuses me.
