I'm not big on resolutions, but writing things down is a great goal-setting practice.  Some I already do, but it's good to reaffirm, right?  So here goes:

1. Exercise for one hour a day, 5 days a week. 
2. Avoid added sugar!  (Remember, Kathleen- it tastes good, but it makes you feel awful.)
3. Whiten my teeth using Crest Professional Whitening.

I am living in a state of unemployment, a state duller than Idaho. There are no bars, no clubs, hardly any shops, and a lot of big empty fields. I’ve wasted many a day sitting in my pink bathrobe at the kitchen table, eating whatever I can find and watching reruns of 30 Rock on Netflix. Oh sure, every now and then I’ll take a shower and put on some ( Read more... )

 About two weeks ago I got a call from Sam Elder.  According to his message, he was my financial advisor.  I didn't even know I had one!  Not entirely trusting the call, I decided not to return his message.  But a few days later, he caught me in the bathroom at work while I was changing out of my uniform.  Would I like to come in for a consultation ( Read more... )

 Last night about 2:30 a.m., I was talking to an acquaintance of mine on Facebook.  His name is Alex, and we met briefly when I visited Camp Howe two summers ago as part of my research for my thesis.  He's big into the camp scene and working with kids, especially kids with special needs.  He's the only person from that trip I've kept in contact ( Read more... )
