If you're still going through those by the weekend, I know a good place to off-load them. My family's church is having their annual Candles, Carols, and Cookies event on Saturday night. Everyone brings cookies. Lots of candles are lit, and carols are sung. It's nice.
Hey, you have inspired me to bake cookies and send them to people this Christmas!
I was wondering if you knew what types of cookies are best to bake? Like... ones that won't go stale within three days so they have time to be posted and eaten? Or any other tips for mass cookie baking and distribution?
I haven't done a whole lot of shipping-cookies-by-mail, but I find that bar cookies (moist enough to stay so the entire way) or fairly crisp drop cookies (dry enough to be good anyway) tend to work the best - anything that's rolled or otherwise shaped is likely to lose a few in transit
