Stuttgart, part 1
In October 2012 I went to Stuttgart. It was a work visit - I went to DLR to work on some papers that we have together.
Most of the visit was work. I very little time to see Stuttgart and surroundings.
They rented a room for me in a Dachswald hotel. The hotel sucks - check tripadvisor. It is also quite creepy - it has a lot of dead animals on the ( Read more... ) -

А у кого ещё тут сабж? У вас тоже проблемы последние пару дней? Такое впечатление что вернулся в дни модема. Пару дней назад speedtest.net показывал даунлоад 0.3 Mbps, но сегодня я просто не могу подключится к сайту (точнее тест пишет что failed). Шо за фигня? -

Me, 3 weeks ago, writing to a certain department head: "Dear Prof. X! I am going to apply for a position in you department. My primary interest is A, and my secondary interest is B. Good riddance.
I am quite ashamed for my faculty that gave this guy a Ph.D. But I guess he was a good aerospace engineer. On this day, we walked a little bit around Pitlochry. We wanted to visit the Blair Athol distillery. It was Sunday, it opened only at noon, so we walked a little bit around the village. We went to the Atholl Palace Hotel, that once was a castle and now is, well, a hotel.

First half of that day was not very successful. On this day we took the car that we ordered. We ordered from Eurocar and asked to take it from the city with the thought that it is going to be easier than the airport. Wrong.
