Good heavens, that's terrible, poor little puppy! What was they thinking with, if at all? Making that kind of mistake, and not telling anyone about it, that should disqualify them from working with animals. *shakes head*

We suspect that an assistant did the actual neutering, and it's possible they were so inexperienced that they didn't realize how badly they'd screwed up. At least, we hope that's the case since the alternative is that they just sent him home anyway. :(

OMG! Just reading about what happened to poor Cody has me wanting to cry... and then wanting to exact a slow and painful revenge on the staff of that clinic. What the HELL? Not only is that appalling incompetence (seriously, if they don't understand that procedure, they don't deserve to be in business), but... it's just beyond cruel. They could have killed him, and in any case, they put him through such pain and distress. :-(

But I'm so glad to hear that he's recovering, and I'm glad that you're recovering, too. Enjoy the scrambled eggs!

We can't wait to get him home. My mom always put him to bed at night by cuddling him in her rocking chair first, and she's looking forward to do that again. ;)
