hey--i saw c. mathes the other day in bell tower. he was without his dred cap, and his locks cascaded freely down his back. i must admit, i was turned on. i miss that man...i also miss his white wife and his children, meridian and equator.

Holden's dec(ent). I too saw saw C. Mathes on Friday at a lecture on east. His hair was also flowing down his back, not unlike a black waterfall. Maybe that's how he wears it nowadays.
