We're in car shopping mode now, what with twins coming and all. We've currently got a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Prius. The total mileage driven on both cars last year was less than 6,000 miles, and we almost never drove both vehicles at the same time. The Escalades are seriously blingtastic and I would like it, but they get terrible reviews from Consumer Reports (and our current mechanic). They are nice and roomy though.

I'd lean towards the Honda Pilot, but I'm sure the Toyota would be good too. Those two always get good reviews in consumer reports. I briefly thought about a Pilot, but it was more expensive, and got worse gas mileage, than the CR-V, but the CR-V won't meet your needs.

The SUV that a couple of my car guy friends have gotten is the Nissan Armada, so I'll toss that out there for what it's worth.
