It has been six long years without my brother. I am grateful for the people who help me get through the days....there have been far too many of them without Michael. Raise a glass to the best big brother in the world and remember that he was god-like to me.

It may be the Solstice today, but my whole week has been full of long ones.

When I was about 11 years old I read a book called, "Alanna" by Tamora Pierce. I borrowed it from the library and loved it. I am happy to report that we are back at work today despite our two day planned walkout. The University decided to sit down with us while we were picketing in an off campus location and at about 9pm our lead bargainer announced to us that we had made some HUGE gains and that we could end this right now.
