I am in the hospital, and I cannot sleep. I went to the ER with a blood pressure spike and chest pain. Now I am hooked up to 4 iv lines and waiting for tests in the morning. We had a mass shooting here overnight. There's at least 10 dead, including the shooter. I have no idea yet if I know any victims. Only two people I know have marked themselves safe so far.

I don't know how many of you know that I've been writing a book. I've been writing for a while, but I got really serious about this one in January.

I just finished the first draft. It's 35,000 words right now. That's about 150 pages. It's just a rough draft. I plan to go back and smooth it out and add to it in spots. I hope to get it to twice that ( Read more... )

Monday night 13 tornadoes hit Dayton, OH. I live just south of there. I am good. I had no damage, but it's unclear how long I will be without clean water. The water pumping station was hit by the tornadoes. My internet and phone signal have been mostly good but go out randomly.

I just wanted people here to know I'm alive and okay.

I got a missed call on my phone that appeared to be from my dead brother's phone number. There was no voicemail left, so I assumed it was a spoofed number. It had me freaked out for a while.

February always messes up my finances, especially since we're coming out of the slow time at work. Then there's the issue of having been sick and missing too much work due to the sinus infection that lasted a month.
