Beware of these badgers (update)
Due to erroneous information, it appears that the incoming badgers were born in March, not 3 weeks ago (I guess the person meant 3 months ago), so they will be too big and ferocious at this age to handle and hand-raise. Oh well. At least there will be badgers of sorts about even though we cannot pet them. I cry inside though, as I was looking ( Read more... ) -
It's badger time
I got word yesterday that four baby badgers are making their way to Bear Country from Canada and should arrive by this Friday. I will help to raise these badgers! I am more excited than anyone else, Kayla says they are one of the ugliest animals ever. I disagree. I mean, look at these guys:

A Puff Retrospective
I have been experimenting with indoor, low light, and animal photography (sometimes all at the same time!) the last few days. The discovery that my old Nikon film camera's 50mm lens takes really clear images on the digital camera has filled me with glee. How big is too big?
Big Sunglasses. A holdover from the 70's and part of the 80's. Now a current eyewear trend. My mom used to have these huge pair of eyeglass frames that I think of as her 'bee glasses' because of their similarity to an insect's compound eyes. Friends, help me decide: should I wear something similar?

Cosmos and Crystal Cave...CRAZINESS
This Saturday Jesse and I became local tourists once more. We tried out "Cosmos: The Mystery Area" which is billed as "IT"S CRAZY!" and "SEE IT, FEEL IT!" from huge signs on the road.
