...That was a lot of detail. People's eyes melt?

Sure you're okay? Besides lateness and bad pasta.

I stared at it for about forty-five minutes. Eyes are gelatinous so with the water intake and fish nibbles, they looked pretty melty.

Yeah, I'm fine. It's just a body *shrugs*

I know, perhaps I meant more the necessity for sharing. Though yes, I imagine nothing that has been in the water for a week would look particularly pleasant.

I know medicine is what you do, of course, but anyone can be taken by surprise. Just checking.

Ah, yeah. I was trying to liberate the visual from my mind before I went to bed. It probably would have warped into zombie nightmares and set Orihime off.

Heh, thanks for your concern man. No need to worry though, I'm good.

Ohmigosh are you okay Tatsuki?! That... that... that's just awful

I'm gonna hug attack you for a few hours now.

I'm fine Orihime, the boat didn't even flip when we hit it. Yeah...I feel kinda bad for the guy.

Thanks for the warning.

No one should have to have that happen to them.

No, they shouldn't. But they do, so I want you to be extra careful while you're out and about until I find out some more details about what happened.

Jesus. That's terrible, Tatsuki. I'm amazed by how...calm-ish you seem.

An Orihime-hug attack sounds like the best thing for you, right now.

*shrugs* Guess my bio class is desensitizing me or something ^^

Haha, it will be unnecessary but appreciated none the less.

That's one thing that...when I first came to the city, I saw an elderly couple crossing the street and the woman got clipped by a car. I never found out what happened after the paramedics took her away, didn't see anything in the paper and it wasn't as though I knew her name to check the obituary. It's odd just not knowing.

Probably a strange note to introduce oneself on, but...Nara Shikamaru, apartment nine.

Unfortunately, little old ladies being run down don't qualify as interesting stories anymore. There are enough high shock value horror stories around here to overpower them. When it comes down to it, journalists aren't telling us the news, they're selling headlines. 'Body found River' grabs more attention than 'Woman hit by Car'. If you have the date though, I could probably check the hospital databanks next time I'm in training there. (I'm working towards becoming a paramedic right now).

Strange is just another word for interesting. Arisawa Tatsuki, apartment five. Good to meet you.

Mm, it's very true, especially out here it seems. Practically every little thing made the paper where I come from. 'Record broken for town's biggest watermelon', and the like. I could rifle through my hand-written journal, I'd be interested...that's an admirable workfield, Miss Arisawa. You sound like you could handle it.

Likewise.

Man, I wish that stuff made the news around here. I'd read the paper more often. There's a depressing lack of nice things to hear about around here if all you pay attention to is the news. Even the art papers are full of depressing stories about government fuck ups and tortured souls.

Yeah, pass me the date and what you can remember about her physical specs and the accident and I should be able to find out for you. And it's Tatsuki, none of this Miss crap. Might even let you call me 'Tsuki if three syllables is too much for you to handle.

You should be careful by the river.

So ammend that to 'look out for yourself' period. That kid didn't necessarily start off by the river, he just wound up there.
