I keep forgetting that it's Valentine's Day. Yesterday I only remembered cuz we have a special for it at work. And this morning I forgot too until a friend said "happy valentines" to me. I am soooo glad I don't have to serve today. Valentine's Day in the restaurant industry...often tends to bring out the worst in people. Every table wants perfection, and yet it's one of the busiest days of the year, and things will go wrong. However, I always try to remember that for some people, valentine's day is one of the few occasions they will go out for dinner because they don't have a lot of money for it.

Anyways, have fun at the work-a-ma-work. We have heart-shaped white chocolate brownie's at Moxie's today. =D

Hey Ry..of course my server friend would reply! It's so great to have someone understand. It actually went AMAZINGLY well! My mom's prayers - they're pretty powerful. :) I had a couple kinda stressed-out tables, but my attitude was even different and it didn't even bother me. YAY! And the rest were great! Not so great tips, which actually surprised me, but happy customers beat good tips anyday! The main thing was that I got off before the dessert crowd came..that would've been more stressful, but ya, ditto to the "once-a-year" dinners. I know I got some, and it was fun.

I don't understand how someone wouldn't tip well... I think I'm on the 'overtipping' end of the scale, but then again, I also walk into a place and tell the host(ess) that I want the best server in the place and won't settle for any less... maybe it's just me...
