In my second most recent entry to Livejournal, I posted about having a mental block around filing for Unemployment.
Well, it's 6 years later, and I need to file for Unemployment again. Apparently, I lack any such mental block now, and am chomping at the chance. I'm glad to see I have changed at least that much in the intervening years.
For the record, I too was laid off from Harmonix today. I've been there almost 6 years, so my severance isn't bad. I believe I have a few months before I'm in trouble financially

I'm thinking of picking up either a recumbent or a folding bike for commuting between work and school. Does anyone have one or another that I could borrow for a month, to get a feel for how they ride?

I've been thinking of trying to do winter riding this year, and have a few probably silly questions.
Is there a good way to get a plastic snow shell for either an upright or a recumbent? Does anyone know of heated seats / handlebars? Maybe a heated oxygen canister for an old man like me?
Some of you may have heard that Laura and I are heading to Cancun for our anniversary. Yay!
I've never been to Cancun before, but some of you have. So far, we have tickets to chicken itza, which oddly enough has always been a dream of mine. What else should we do? What have you guys done there which you would recommend?
I'm looking for some way that people can just drop files (doc, pdf, excel) into a folder somewhere, then have them automatically indexed and searchable for anyone on our network. Is there a good solution for this sort of thing that I'm just not seeing?
