Sometimes my Art History textbook is whack:

"In the lyrical language of curving line, the artist celebrated the rhythms of spring." The textbook usually does a good job illustrating how the piece is significant, but this sentence is so pointless and ridiculous it ought to be in a presidential campaign speech.

I'd google the author of your textbook -- I bet he ran for mayor or city councilman or some other whack bureacracy job way back when. Actually, he probably tried running when he realized his grad degree in ancient art was pretty much useless.
