Gatorade
Apparently Gatorade is now kosher. I'm not sure when that happened; I don't think it was the case in fall 2008 when I had mono (and consumed copious amounts of Powerade). Cut all the tzitzit!
The tzitzit are done. All of them. I still have a bunch of cotton and silk left, and thus the potential for many more sets. So if you want some, let me know, and/or if anyone you know wants some, send them my way.

Symphony?
Dan and I were supposed to go the symphony tonight at 8:00PM. Dan is sick, and we're not going. I have two free tickets that I'm trying to give away. Tzitzit, part 4
I'm almost done with the silk tzitzit. I spun the two bobbins yesterday and Sunday, and today I finished the spinning and started the plying (when you spin two threads together to turn it into a stronger yarn). Plying is a lot faster than spinning, and I'm stuck at home tomorrow, so those should be done soon. I'm dyeing wool tomorrow, and I'll ( Read more... ) -

The silk arrived while I was gone. The cotton is a bit complicated. Something weird happened with my card when I placed the order, and I've been traveling for the past 3 days so haven't had a chance to deal with that.
