I saw the new macbook air last night. I am not a fan of mac's mostly because of Mr Jobs philosophies, but they do make some damn sexy hardware. What I don't get is why they didn't make it so you could open the screen up 360 degrees and add a touch screen so it could be used as a computer and a tablet. Last Minute Pizza Party ---- Tonight
Last minute party......Pizza and a Hot tub...... I know this is very last minute, but my days plans changed thus I am now planning on firing up the oven and opening up the Hot tub this evening. So come by for some pizza and a soak. -
Tub
Talked with the contractors down the road and they are going to let me borrow their 60' manlift to hoist the hot tub into position. This will happen either Saturday afternoon or Sunday. I wouldn't mind a few extra hands, so ping me if you want to help...... note the view is pretty damn awesome from 30' above my house. -

98 Winthrop shore drive (a couple of blocks up the street from me) is going up for a foreclosure auction on Sept 3. -
rubber roof
The guy my neighbor/plumber/friend recommended to help with the rubber roof was excellent. He was very easy to work with and seems to be a good guy. There is now a rubber roof on the deck! I may well call him back in a year or two when I redo the houses roof. He also does masonry so I now have someone to suggest for those types of jobs ( Read more... ) -

Progress slowed this week with all the rain and me going back to work. Hope to kick it back into high gear this weekend. Today's task is the rubber roof. I have a guy who knows his stuff coming to help. Tomorrow decking and siding! If anyone feels like laying rubber or screwing decking stop by. Yay! Just got word.... Yay!, We just passed the framing inspection so work can begin again! Now must place another order for a fresh batch of sunshine................. -
