We watched Bill Haher's Religulous, after much gardening today.

Life is Good.

R is leaving for Kuwait or or around the end of May now.

Note, I have reaseached ground layout and sun/shade requirements and soil components and what might work for water and sun and access.... this is an experiment.

Based on other plantings here that have lived well (or not).

We've hot mostly west/south exposure, and very rocky/sandy soil. I chose to use primarily raised garden/container choices for food and am working on what works for light (heat) intensity and watering sources.

Happy gardening!!!!!!

Ooo! I think the braeburn is one of the "bitter" apples for making cider. Maybe we'll have to trade when yours start bearing fruit. Our Enterprise and Melrose "sweeet" apples... It's going to be a big year up here - the blossoms are outrageous!

Very nice! And I'm envious of your irrigation system! That's one of the things I'm hoping to work on here this year.. we'll see if it happens!

Thank you!!

We tried soaker hoses at first, but I was irritated at the seepage between the two raised beds. Initially, I didn't want it to be too complicated, but of course it was. :) I'm still tweaking output, but with the drip-ends on longer hoses that can be moved to different (tho' limited) locations, I think it'll work. (huge gratitude to

You did it, things got planted, yay! It all looks so nice. The fact that it's all in suburbia makes me think about the british show "The Good Life". I'm such a tv geek.

Thank you! We're not the only unemployed techies in the neighborhood either (i.e., home all day but needing to DO something else go nuts), and I've noticed others also building gardens. It's definitely a trend. You know that your home-grown food hasn't been coated in chemicals and picked before it's ripe to sit on a truck and in a refrigerator for who knows how long.... And it's fun work!!
