I'm a firm believer in being prepared. Chalk it up to years of Girl Scouts, a mother who carries everything short of the kitchen sink in her purse, and a father who must have been the inspiration for Macgyver. In the event that grad school doesn't pan out, I've got several backup plans. There's "become a pirate", "become a pirate and market

I am sure grad school will not fall through for you. You are one the smartest people I know, actually I think you are the smartest. Anyways with the unlikely chance of it falling through I will go with you in the surf shop. I can make pots or something.
Your invited to my graduation which is in May (I am still keeping my fingers crossed though on passing all my classes). After graduation I am just going to work and save money to travel and hopefully decide what I am going to do in life.
