Everyone must go see the new movie Serenity.  Seriously.  It's the best movie I've seen all year and will probably end up on my 10 best list after it sinks in a little more.  Go see it.  Go!

While reading an article about the situation in New Orleans I came across the phrase "shooters of the looters", and my brain suddenly took me on this whole Dr. Seuss "Fox In Socks" tangent.  For that I am truly sorry.

I've been very ill all week, so before today I hadn't been out of the house since last Friday.  I've been following events online and I knew of the horrors in New Orleans, but the gas crisis here at home in Orlando surprised me.  People are seriously going all Mad Max out there.  I had to wait in line this morning to buy gas at the one station ( Read more... )

To everyone else: fill up your gas tanks tomorrow morning.  With the entry point for fuel into the USA effectively shut down and/or soon-to-be-destroyed, gas is about to get so fucking expensive.

So I'm into Hour 16 of the Night Court marathon on TVLand and I've come to a conclusion.  The humor has aged well, but the styles of clothes the women wear have not.  Big poofy hair and bad boob jobs.  Hello from 1986!
