1) Egyptian Coil links becoming more consistent. Really does look better in 16, 18 or 20 gauge. 12 gauge was just too chunky. Nods to the woman who posted the suggesting in a jewelrymaking forum about using a crochet hook to make the loop (found via google) -- my metal knitting needle worked perfectly ( Read more... ) -

I finished the main embroidery of Aleksei's white rubakha last night. I still have to do a little on the cuffs & hem, but that shouldn't take too long. Just sorted out the meal planning for one week at Pennsic. To my surprise, I won't need to worry about fresh meat at all, I came up with 6 meals easily, I'm sure there's another can of meat in the cabinet for a 7th, and there's always the food court ( Read more... ) -

Ok! Got quickie porsheni made for Aleksei, plus two pair of 'socks' to wear with them, white and red. I wanted to make gold too, but I didn't have enough gold linen left. :-(
