Sewing is about the LAST skill I would have thought useful ten years ago, but there's no end to the practical things you can do if you can sew and cook! And there's a huge market for handmade wool things like this, so I may be able to sell some of my projects. Sewing is definitely something I plan to teach my boys, because it really is a dying skill.
My mum is not practical at all, she can't even cook, i'm alot more practical than her.. My gran was amazingly skillful but she's had dementia ever since i could remember so wasn't able to pass on the skills to me but i'm really interested in picking up things like this, i see them as necessities!
Your right, there's been a growing market for the last few years ever since celebs made it fashionable to knit your own clothing, if you have a skill like this you may as well take advantage of it! X
D'awww it's the first time I see your babby actually, he's adorable :3 That smile is so derp and awesome in a good way and omg pinchthosecheeks lol. The longies are cuuute, I used to have a shirt with those same colors toooo. Recycling whoo!
And I LOVE seeing your mad skills. I can't cook or sew. I absolutely hate touching food and avoid it at all costs, so cooking it simply out of the question. However, I'd love to learn to sew and knit! I tried teaching myself how to crochet once, and it was a horrible disaster! I wish I knew someone personally who could help me (too bad you don't live near me, LoL!).
