Cancer Phobia Strikes Deeply...Kimba Update
I did a lot of reading/refreshing my knowledge on mammary tumors when the Mama Kitty and Artemis were diagnosed. Kimba had a lump on the right side of his spine, above his rear leg.
Kimba's surgery went well, but now there is more not so good news...

Artemis' brother Kimba has surgery Monday...Not again, I beg of The Powers That Be...Not Again!
Another furchild, Kimba is needing surgery for a disturbing small lump...*Whimpers* Chris is hoping it's just an oily cyst, but we won't know for sure 'til Monday afternoon. And she found something in his ears she didn't like, which could be a sign of cancer...Our house gets demo'd if it turns out it is cancer...AGAIN!

Is Our House Deadly...It Might Be...
Chris suspects something in our house may have possibly been the cause of the cancers. We lost Mama Kitty a little over a year ago, also to mammary cancer. Artemis and Mama Kitty were not related at all, in any way. The only connection was they both lived in our house. I hate waiting...Artemis Update
I am sitting here waiting to hear from Chris, our vet, about Artemis. I hate waiting but, I am terrified of calling to find out what is going on as well. I am just so not ready to lose another furchild ( Read more... ) -
It's Not F***ing Fair! Artemis is too young...
We have an appointment tomorrow, to have stitches removed, but sadly, I think we may have to help Artemis cross over the Rainbow Bridge instead. She has never turned the corner and started recovering from her surgery two weeks ago. We have just returned from the vet to get "some" of Artemis' stitches removed, and I heard the dreaded Cancer word again.

Artemis Update
Artemis made it through surgery ok...she now has about an 8 inch incision on her belly. Chris has the mass, which ended up being gargantuan in formaldehyde, waiting for when we can afford to send it for biopsy. That will cost $150, so that will have to wait 'til we've paid for the surgery's cost of $210. We can only hope and pray it is not ( Read more... )
