Interesting research on Progeria and aging

Looks like this group is doing some very interesting work in the area of Progeria (basically these are premature aging diseases), with possible knock-on consequences for (anti-)aging in general...

ADSL in my new place
Yay! ADSL is finally up and running at my new place!
For those not aware (and who care), I have moved out to my sister's place in Surrey Hills (she in turn has moved in with her bf). This is so the old house in North Fitzroy can be cleaned and decked out for auction at the end of the month (27th). -

Back from a terrific IV
AIV was fantastic! Best IV I've had in a good while, I think, and it felt like it really helped me "reconnect" with the world. Here's hoping that feeling lasts (so far, so good). I may get around to a fuller post-IV report, but don't hold your breath - I already seem to be too busy, what with dancing Tuesday, rehearsal for seedy_girl and thorfinn's wedding Wednesday ( Read more... ) -

Xmas day picnic!
For those of you not doing the family thang on Xmas day, or who like me don't have any such obligations until later in the day or evening, come along to a casual get-together/picnic!
Details not pinned down yet, but to get the ball rolling, I suggest somewhere in the Botanical Gardens, any time from around 11 onwards.
