Hi there! Yes, I am alive. I spend a lot more time on Facebook these days, mostly because more of my friends/family are on there and also because I can do short little updates instead of the long ones I feel obligated to make here. Wow, it's been a while since I've updated. Work has kept me busy, and when I'm not working I am chasing after the Bug. I can't believe how big he is getting! He has been pretty sick the last couple of days, too. The last two mornings he has woken up with a fever of 103, and he's so stuffy he can't breathe through his nose. I had a lovely, relaxing weekend at my mom's. While there, Alex:
- stood completely unsupported for about 15 seconds (which is pretty huge for him)
- started walking with me only holding on to one of his hands

I just had a lovely salad with butter leaf lettuce. I have come to the conclusion that iceberg lettuce is teh suck. The butter leaf was very crisp and had a nice, subtle flavor. Even the chunks were enjoyable, and I usually pick around those in an iceberg salad. If I had known about this alternative lettuce earlier I think I would have eaten a lot ( Read more... )

Lately I have not been able to force myself to go to bed until I am so tired I can't keep my eyes open. I miss my husband and I hate going to sleep without him. I'm finding it really difficult to be alone all day, and it is triggering my depression. You know how "they" say it's best to put your baby to bed when they are sleepy but not asleep? Alex disagrees. Every single time I try to put him to bed that way he ends up babbling and playing in his crib for the next hour. Today was my sister's birthday, and we have started doing Sister Dinners to celebrate where all the sisters get together and eat and chat and have girly time. Today we went to Thai Village for lunch and I got Pad Thai, which I'd never had before. Alex actually liked it too. :)
