Christmas at Hogwarts is a bit different than back home always was. Little pomp, little ceremony. Just... people running around singing and smiling and giving gifts.

If you tell someone that you're going to a ball with them, you should, in fact, stay with them, especially if they designed and made your robes, and chose their costume to match yours. Masquerade balls are great fun. Delightful evening.
